Langzhong

Langzhong City is located in the northeastern Sichuan Basin and the middle reaches of Jialing River, which is 264 kilometers away from Chengdu, owning a population of 880,000. The city stands in the west bank of Jialing River, and is surrounded by mountain and river. LangZhong has been rated as “excellent tourist city in China ”,“ thousand-year-old Ancient County”, “county of the Chinese Spring Festival culture” and “national 5 A-class scenic tourist area”.

Langzhong

Langzhong has a long history and splendid culture. The county administration has been established more than 2300 years since the Qin Dynasty (the first united dynasty in China) firstly set Langzhong County in 314 BC. Zhang Fei, an elite general of the Shu Kingdom guarded Langzhong for seven years. In the early Qing Dynasty, Langzhong was chosen as the temporary capital of Sichuan province for 20 years, serving as the political, economic, military and cultural center of northern Sichuan. The culture here is a combination of The Three Kingdoms culture represented by Zhang Fei Temple, religious culture represented by Giant Buddhist Temple, Yongan Temple, Imperial examination culture represented by test-houses in the Qing dynasty, and folk culture represented by shadow play, paper-cutting art. Experts refer to it as “the model of multicultural development".

Langzhong

Lanzhong Ancient City is next the new city, whose architectural style reflects the living concept of Feng Shui in ancient China. The chessboard layout is a typical example of the Chinese architectural aesthetic of "nature and humanity". Since the ancient site was completely constructed in accordance with the astronomical theory of Feng Shui in the Tang dynasty, it is known as “the city of Feng Shui”. As a national 5 A-class tourist scenic spot and the cradle of the Chinese Spring Festival, it is one of the four ancient cities together with Lijiang in Yunnan province, Pingyao in Shanxi province, and Xi County in Anhui province.
