Day1: Chengdu - Wolong Shenshuping Panda Base - Siguniangshan Town (200km)

Schedule today: Leave hotel in Chengdu at about 7:30 AM, drive about 1.5 hours to reach Wolong Shenshuping Panda Base. This base is also known as China Giant Panda Garden. The base is highly simulated to Giant Panda's habitat hidden deep into mountains. Afterwards, we drive towards Mt. Siguniang (2 hours). On the way, we can see the ruined old panda base. The road snakes across the beautiful Wolong Nature Reserve, passing by rivers and gorges till it reaches the Balang Mountain tunnel. It's one of the highest mountain in Sichuan, and sometimes on the mountain, one can see vast spreading clouds-sea. When descending at Maobilang Pass at another side of mountain, one can get the best panoramic view of Mt. Siguniang. In the afternoon, you can choose to rest in the hotel or visit Shuangqiao Valley briefly (sightseeing bus is available) of Mt. Siguniang. Stay overnight in Siguniangshan Town.

Day2: Explore Mt. Siguniang

Schedule today: Mt. Siguniang consists of 3 big valleys, namely Shuangqiao Valley, Changping Valley and Haizi Valley; as Shuangqiao Valley is possible to visit mostly by sightseeing bus with some good hiking trails, Changping Valley and Haizi Valley are suitable for enthusiastic hikers, both valleys take one full day to explore by foot, horse-riding service (self-paid) is available throughout those two valleys also. Bring yourself with some water and snack on the way because there is no restaurant inside the valleys. If you choose hiking, today must be a tiring day, but the amazing sceneries on the way definitely pay off at end of the day. Most tourists praise that those 3 valleys plus the peaks compose the most beautiful picture s in western Sichuan. Stay overnight in Siguniangshan Town.

Haizi Valley Changping Valley

Day3: Siguniang Town - Danba County - Daofu County (300km)

Schedule today: Leave hotel in Siguniang Town at about 8 AM, drive about 2.5 hours westward Danba County, 11km ahead of the county, we will firstly visit the Zhonglu Tibetan Village, "Zhonglu" means "a desirable place for human and gods" in Tibetan. The scenic village integrates canyons, Holy Mountain, temples, watchtowers, unique dwellings andfertile barley fields, constituting a remarkable cultural landscape. After lunch in the county, drive west towards Daofu County via gorges and grassland, on the way, we could also view famous Yala Holy Mountain from its west face. Today, we will experience a Tibetan family-inn stay in the Daofu County because the beautiful and delicate Daofu Dwellings are exactly the most famous and impressive landmark of the county.

Day4: Daofu County - Seda County (210km)

Schedule today: After breakfast, say goodbye to our Tibetan host in Daofu County at about 8:30 AM, drive about 4 hours north to reach Seda County. We will firstly have our lunch and then visit the very famous Seda Larong Wuming Buddhist Institute that was found in 1980 under the 10th Panchen Lama's effort. Up to now, the institute has developed into the world's largest Tibetan Buddhist institute. The most spectacular landscape of the institute is the monk domiciles all over the mountain. The valleys rolling for miles and miles are full of log cabins, most of which were constructed by the persons learning Buddhism here at their own cost, with each covering a not large area. Stay overnight at hotel near the institute or in the Seda County.

Day5: Seda County - Xisuo Village (270km)

Schedule today: Leave hotel in Seda at about 8:30 AM, drive east towards Barkam City, the capital city of Aba Prefecture. On the way, we can see 43 meters high Songgangzhibo Stone Fortification that was built nearly 300 years ago. Today's final destination is Xisuo Village of Zhuokeji Town that is about 7km east of Barkam City. This quiet and beautiful village is full of Tibetan elements, the most beautiful and famous site is Zhuokeji Chieftain's Fortress that was built in 1718. The fortress covers an area of 1480 square meters and is a construction built of a composition of clay, stone and wood. Its strategic potential with the momentum of dragon and tiger, with its tall and majestic shape, performs a transmission of the majesty of a former chieftain. During the Long March in July, 1935, Chairman Mao and his Red Army once stayed here for one week. Stay Tibetan family-inn at Xisuo Village tonight.

Day6: Xisuo Village - Dagu Glacier - Heishui County (155km)

Schedule today: After breakfast, say bye-bye to our Tibetan host in Xisuo Village at about 9:00 AM, drive about 3 hours northeast towards Heishui County. The most famous site in this county is Dagu Glacier. Thanks to miles of colorful forest distributed at the foot of the snowy Dagu Mountain, together with the glittering snow peak under the sunlight, Dagu Glacier is reputed as "Color Glacier". It integrates modern glaciers, big snow mountain climbed by the Red Army, colorful forests, magnificent mountain waterfalls, mirror-like mountain lakes, vast primeval forests, grassy alpine meadow, rich splendid Tibetan culture, as well as the national-level protected animals. Prepare yourself some snacks for the lunch use while visit the glacier; stay overnight in Heishui County.

Day7: Heishui County - Songpan County - Jiuzhaigou Valley (306km)

Schedule today: After breakfast, leave hotel in Heishui County around 9:00 AM, drive about 4 hours northeast towards Songpan County, there we will have our lunch. After lunch, visit Songpan Ancient Town for about 1 hour, and then continue driving around 2 hours north towards Jiuzhaigou Valley. Stay overnight at a hotel near the valley entrance.

Day8: Explore Jiuzhaigou Valley

Schedule today: Wake up early before 06:40AM, try to enter the valley before 7:30AM to avoid long queue caused by large groups after 8AM. Jiuzhaigou Valley is surely the most well-known natural landscape in Sichuan, Jiuzhaigou literally means "valley consists of nine Tibetan villages", this Tibetan fairyland is worldwide famous for its best waterscapes in China. There is even a saying that "one will never interested in any other waterscapes after visiting Jiuzhaigou Valley", so you can imagine how beautiful this fairyland it is. As early as 1991, Jiuzhaigou was listed upon World Nature Heritage by UNESCO, and it is also China's only World Nature Heritage site that owns the title of UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve at the same time for its biological diversity and very well preserved environment. The valley is very big, and worth a whole day exploration. You can get your lunch inside the valley. Exit around 6PM. Stay overnight at the same hotel.

Day9: Jiuzhaigou Valley - Chengdu (410 km)

Schedule today: Leave hotel at about 8AM, it's a long drive of 410km costing around 8-9 hours, so you are not advised to book your flight leaving Chengdu tonight in case there is any traffic delay on the way. We advise you to book your flight leaving Chengdu tomorrow afternoon. Tour ends at your hotel in Chengdu. Welcome to travel with us next time.
